In 1985 Marianne van Berlo finished her studies at the 'Akademie voor Kunst en Vormgeving' (Academy of Art and Design) at
's Hertogenbosch .
Main themes in her works of art are landscapes and animals.
Moved by the tango in 1991, she pays many visits to Buenos Aires from that year onwards.

Each afternoon and evening the dancers come together in the salons, straight from their work or after their meal. The atmosphere is invariably that of nostalgia, half-departed glory and a likable small middle-class. The star remains the common man of the street. In the tango he or she may live-up to the dream, but at home the rickety table with plastic table cover is waiting.

Back in Amsterdam, in here studio, Marianne puts her impressions into drawings and paintings. Tango is now an important theme in her work.

She has exhibitions regularly.
